Genesis builds, put together by Tom

Choose a frameset, then the level of wheels and groupset. Tom builds it in our workshop and sets it up for you.

    The Genesis Croix de Fer 725: Reynolds 725 heat-treated chrome-moly steel, with room for 700c × 47mm tyres. Extra small to extra large, and the Medium and Large are in the shop to see.

  2. Choose the wheels and groupset

    Wheels step up with the groupset: DT Swiss G1800 on the CUES flat bar and GRX 610 builds, Hope RX 24 on the GRX RX820 and 825 Di2.

  3. Built in our workshop

    Every build has Vittoria Terreno T50 700×45 tyres in brown or black wall, PRO bars, stem and seatpost, and a Madison Flux saddle. Pedals aren’t included.

Velo de Ville e-bikes, made to measure

Each one is built to order in Altenberge, Germany, by a family firm that has made bikes since 1966. You choose the frame shape and size, colour, motor, battery and gears. We measure you, order it and set it up.

  • Frame shape and size

    Low step-through wave, sporty trapeze or classic diamond, each in a range of sizes to fit you.

  • Your colour

    Up to 35 frame colours, powder-coated in Velo de Ville’s own plant.

  • Display

    Bosch displays and remotes, linked to the Bosch Flow app on your phone.

  • Battery

    Fully integrated and removable, so you can charge it indoors. From 540 Wh, up to 1050 Wh with a range extender.

  • Motor

    Bosch Smart System drive. We’ll match it to the hills you ride and what you carry.

  • Gears and drive

    Chain and derailleur, or a quiet, clean belt drive that never needs oiling.

  • Rack and carriers

    A modular rear rack made for this frame, plus head-tube mounts for a front carrier.

Our workshop services any bike, whoever sold it, from a safety check to a full rebuild. Labour is £30 an hour.

Hire a bike and ride the Two Tunnels

Take the traffic-free Two Tunnels route, with views over Bath’s Georgian skyline and the longest lit cycle tunnel in the UK. Or follow the old railway path all the way into Bristol.

Locks, a map and personal directions come with every bike. Helmets are included with e-bike hire.

Under the old station roof

Green Park station opened in 1870 and closed to trains in 1966. Its iron and glass train shed now covers a market, shops and us.

  1. Head for Sainsbury’s

    Go into the large Sainsbury’s by Green Park as if you were shopping there. There’s parking if you’re driving.

  2. Look for the station roof

    Walk towards the old train shed: the big iron and glass roof where the farmers’ market is held.

  3. We’re under the roof

    The bike station is underneath it, on your left as you walk over from the main Sainsbury’s entrance.
