Velo de Ville e-bikes, built to order

Every Velo de Ville is built after it’s ordered, to the rider’s size and choices. We help you work out what you need, measure you, order it and set it up. Then we look after it in our workshop.

New this October: Velo de Ville e-bikes, to buy and to hire.

Buying through work? We’re part of the Cycle to Work scheme.

Start with how you’ll ride

Velo de Ville group their bikes by what they’re for. Pick the closest, then we build from there.

From first fitting to first ride

A made-to-measure e-bike takes a little longer than one off the shop floor. This is what happens between your first visit and your first ride.

  1. Talk it through

Tell us how you’ll use it, from the school run to weekends on the canal path. We measure you, and you can try one of our e-bikes on the road.

  2. Choose the spec

We go through frame shape and size, colour, motor, battery, gears and rack with you, then give you a written quote.

  3. Built in Germany

Velo de Ville only build a bike once it’s ordered. Yours is assembled at their works in Altenberge, and you can follow it in their VELOWALLET app.

  4. Collect and set up

We check the build, set the saddle and bars to your measurements and pair it with the Bosch Flow app before you ride away.

  5. Serviced here

When it’s due, our workshop looks after servicing and firmware updates, so it keeps riding the way it did on day one.

Built in Altenberge since 1966

Velo de Ville is a family business near Münster. The company began the year the last trains left Green Park, and has built bikes to order since the 1980s.
